BIBLE STUDY

APR 5-DEC 15
The Jubilee Youth Service Leadership Academy of Mobile will begin a Christ-centered, Bible Study for boys ages 12 to 18 eager to deepen their faith and develop a personal relationship with Christ.  The Bible Study  begins Saturday, April 5th from 8:30am until 1pm at Mitternight Recreation Center, 5310 Colonial Oaks Drive N.  For more information the number is (251) 591-8041.

GRIEF SHARE

AUG 27-NOV 19
Forest Hill Church of God at 5508 Moffett Road in Mobile will begin a 13 week program “Grief Share” on August 27th at 6pm in the fellowship Hall.  The program is built on 3 components: video seminar, small group discussion, and a participant guide.  For more information the number is (251) 342-0233. 

SPECIAL SPEAKER

Moffett Road Baptist Church at 5555 Moffett Road in Mobile will have Author Destiny Dawn September 6th at 9am share her story and how to protect children from online predators. Destiny will talk about the traumatic events that unfolded in their family's life in 2018. Her faith in Jesus Christ is the reason she made it through this experience and receive strength, healing, and hope in trials and circumstances. A Love Offering will be received to benefit Camille Place, a group home providing comprehensive care for those affected by sexual exploitation and trafficking.

Moffett Road Baptist Church at 5555 Moffett Road in Mobile will host” Deliverance” a Southern Gospel ensemble from the University of Mobile Alabama School of the Arts on Sunday, September 7th at 6pm.  A warm invitation is especially offered to local choral and instrumental musicians who will have an opportunity to meet and talk with college musicians and directors.  A Love Offering will be received at event.

TRAINING CONFERENCE
SEPT 18&19
The Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention will hold a Faith-Based Support Training Conference September 18th and 19th at Bishop State Community College, 351 North Broad Street in Mobile.  The training is scheduled from 8am until 4pm each day.  The Conference will equip participants with vital tools and resources addressing substance misuse and improving mental health outcomes in their communities.  Breakfast and lunch will be served each day.  For registration or more information www.fbss.asaprev.com.

LUNCH AND LEARN

SEPT 24
A Lunch and Learn event will be held Wednesday, September 24th from 12:30pm until 1:30pm at Express YMCA, 6729 Spanish Fort Blvd in Spanish Fort.  Dr. Andrew McGee, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements will share about: Getting back in game after Hip and Knee replacement, Understanding the Process; When to Choose and What to Expect and Keys to Effective Recovery.  For reservations by 9/17 the number is (251) 281-8781. 

 

THIS IS LIFE 5K

SEPT 27
The Women’s Resource Center will hold “This Is Life 5K” Saturday, September 27th at Semmes Honor Park on Wulff Road in Semmes. MARCH FOR JESUS
OCT 4
The 3rd Grand Bay March for Jesus will be held Saturday, October 4th beginning with registration at 9am at Grand Bay Middle School, 12782 Cunningham Road.  There will be vendors, food and meet and greet.  At 10am music guests will perform, followed by Speaker Johnny Jernigan.  The 1.7 mile parade will begin at 12 noon.  For more information the number is (251) 648-1088.
